Terms of Use — shlomicom.com
Last updated: 20 September 2026 Version: 1.0
The Hebrew version of these Terms is the binding one. This English version is provided for convenience and is substantively equivalent; in case of conflict, the Hebrew version prevails.
1. Welcome — and what this document is
The website shlomicom.com (the "Site") is operated by Shlomo Yona, an individual, trading as "Shlomicom" ("we", "us"). Shlomicom is not a registered company — it is a trading name, not a separate legal entity.
These Terms govern your use of the Site. By browsing or otherwise using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Understand what this Site is: it is a business card and portfolio. It is not a shop, it provides no online service, and nothing can be bought or paid for through it.
2. What this Site is not
This is the most important section here, which is why it comes early:
- The Site is not a legal offer. The content — service descriptions, portfolio, process steps — is marketing information only. It is not an "offer" within the meaning of the Israeli Contracts (General Part) Law, 5733-1973, and does not oblige us to enter into an engagement with anyone.
- Contacting us does not create an engagement. Submitting the contact form — and even receiving a reply from us — does not form a contract. A business relationship arises only under a separate signed written agreement setting out scope, timetable, fees and liability.
- Nothing here is professional advice. Nothing on the Site constitutes technological, business, legal, financial or other advice that may be relied upon in a specific case.
- No promise of outcome. A description of past work is not a promise of a similar result in your project.
3. Permitted use
You may:
- Browse, read and review the Site and the portfolio
- Print or save pages for personal or internal, non-commercial use
- Share a link to the Site, or quote a short and reasonable excerpt with credit and a link to the source
- Contact us via the form or the channels listed on the Site
4. Prohibited use
You may not use the Site in any way that involves:
4.1 Technical interference
- Attempting to breach the Site, its servers or its underlying systems; circumventing security or access controls
- Running crawlers, bots, scraping tools or any automated content-harvesting — other than search engines honouring
robots.txt - Deliberate overloading, denial-of-service, or anything impairing availability
- Uploading or transmitting malware, viruses or harmful code
- Reverse-engineering Site components
4.2 Abuse of the contact form
- Spam, advertising, chain messages or bulk submissions
- Impersonating any person or entity, or submitting someone else's contact details without their consent
- Threatening, harassing, racist, abusive or defamatory content
- Submitting information you are not entitled to disclose — a third party's trade secret, medical data, or confidential information
4.3 Misuse of content
- Copying, reproducing or republishing Site content for commercial purposes
- Using the "Shlomicom" name, logo or design in a way that implies collaboration, partnership or endorsement where none exists
- Framing the Site, or presenting it inside another site in a way that obscures its origin
4.4 Consequences
We may block access, remove content and take any lawful measure — including reporting to authorities and claiming damages — against anyone breaching this section. These remedies are cumulative, not alternative.
5. Intellectual property
5.1 Ours
All rights in the Site and its content belong to Shlomicom or to our licensors: text, design, structure, graphics, logo, images, source code, product names and trademarks.
Using the Site grants you no licence or right in that intellectual property, save the limited right of review in Section 3.
5.2 Third parties'
The portfolio may include work performed for clients. Intellectual property in such projects may belong to the client and is shown here with permission, solely to demonstrate our work. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners; mention does not imply affiliation or sponsorship.
Open-source components used by the Site are subject to their own licences.
5.3 What you send us
Information you submit through the form is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Please note, this matters: unsolicited ideas, proposals or feedback you send us through the Site are not treated as confidential unless a separate non-disclosure agreement was signed in advance. Do not send a confidential idea through a web form. If you have an idea that needs protection, write to us first and we will arrange an NDA.
5.4 Requesting permission
Want to use our content beyond what is permitted? Email hello@shlomicom.com. We usually say yes.
6. Availability and changes to the Site
- The Site is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE.
- We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, response time, or error-free operation. The Site depends on third-party infrastructure (hosting, DNS, networks).
- We may at any time and without prior notice: modify the Site or its structure, add or remove content and pages, take it down temporarily for maintenance, or discontinue it altogether.
- You will have no claim or demand arising from any of the above.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- No warranty of accuracy. We try to keep the Site accurate and current, but errors, inaccuracies, typographical mistakes or outdated information may occur. We do not warrant completeness or currency.
- No implied warranties. We disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, satisfactory quality and non-infringement.
- No warranty regarding infrastructure. We are not responsible for faults in your equipment, connection or browser, or at third-party infrastructure providers.
- No warranty of absolute security. We apply reasonable security measures (see Privacy Policy, Section 9), but the internet is not a secure environment and perfect security cannot be guaranteed.
- Reliance is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Shlomicom, its owners, employees, contractors and suppliers shall not be liable for any damage — direct or indirect — arising from use of the Site, inability to use it, reliance on its content, or any fault in it.
- In particular, we are not liable for consequential, indirect, special or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, or damage to reputation — even if advised of the possibility.
- Liability cap: should liability nonetheless be imposed on us in connection with the Site, it shall not exceed ILS 1,000 (one thousand new Israeli shekels) in the aggregate.
- What is not limited: nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for wilful misconduct, fraud, or personal injury caused by our negligence. If any provision here is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
- Clarification: this section applies to the Site only. Liability in a client project is governed by the separate engagement agreement, not by this document.
9. Indemnity
Anyone breaching these Terms, or using the Site unlawfully, undertakes to indemnify Shlomicom for any damage, loss or expense caused thereby — including reasonable legal fees and costs — provided they were notified of the claim and given a reasonable opportunity to defend.
10. Links to external sites
As at the date of these Terms, the Site contains no outbound links to third-party sites or services.
Should such links be added in future, they will be provided for your convenience only, and the following will apply:
- We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, products or privacy practices.
- A link is not an endorsement, sponsorship or approval.
- Use of an external site is subject to its own terms, at your own risk.
11. Privacy
Collection and use of information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. In case of conflict regarding personal data, the Privacy Policy prevails.
12. Accessibility
We work to make the Site accessible in line with Israeli Standard SI 5568 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA, pursuant to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and its regulations.
Encountered an accessibility problem? We want to hear about it and fix it — hello@shlomicom.com.
To complete before publication: name and contact details of the accessibility coordinator, and a dedicated accessibility statement page.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date and will apply from the date of posting onward — not retroactively.
A material change will be prominently flagged on the Site. Continued use after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the new version. We recommend checking this page occasionally.
14. General
- Governing law: these Terms and any matter arising from them are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.
- Jurisdiction: venue lies with the competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Yafo District, without derogating from your right to bring proceedings before any other court on which the law confers jurisdiction. We do not contract out of a forum the law gives you.
- Entire agreement: these Terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between us regarding use of the Site, superseding any prior representation on that subject.
- Severability: if any provision is held void or unenforceable, the remainder stays in force, and the defective provision shall be construed so as to give effect to its purpose as far as possible.
- Waiver: failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it and sets no precedent.
- Assignment: we may assign our rights and obligations under this document if the activity is transferred to another or incorporated as a legal entity. You may not assign without our written consent.
- Headings: section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
