TrollDoor name rules
Version 1 · 24 October 2026
TrollDoor has a leaderboard. If you sign in, you can replace the name the game gave you with a nickname you type. Everyone who plays TrollDoor can see it. Before you type your first nickname, the game shows these rules and asks you to tap I AGREE.
What a nickname can be
- English letters (A-Z, a-z), numbers and _ only. No spaces, no emoji, no other letters.
- 3 to 12 characters, starting with a letter.
- At most 4 numbers, and not more than 3 of the same character in a row.
- One of a kind: if someone already has it, pick another.
- You can change it once every 7 days.
What is not allowed
- Swearing.
- Slurs: words that insult people for their race, religion, origin, sex, sexuality or disability.
- Hate or Nazi words and numbers.
- Sexual words.
- Drugs.
- Threats.
- Bullying or mocking a person.
- Real names: yours or anyone's.
- Contact details: phone numbers, emails, usernames on other apps.
- Ads or links.
- Posing as TrollDoor, its team or another player.
The game checks every nickname against a list of words and common letter tricks. Some names it refuses may look fine to you; just pick another one.
What happens if a name breaks these rules
- Any player can tap a name on the leaderboard and report it. A name reported by 3 players is hidden at once.
- We read every report. A name that breaks these rules is replaced: you keep your place, your scores and the name the game gave you.
- The next time you open the game, it tells you once that your name was replaced.
- After 3 removals you can't type a name again. You keep playing and you stay on the leaderboard with the name the game gave you.
- If these rules change, the game shows them again before your next name change.
Blocking
Tap a name and choose BLOCK to hide that player's nickname on your phone. You will see the name the game gave them instead.
Your choices
- You don't have to type a name. The name the game gives you is made of two funny English words and a number, and says nothing about you.
- You can turn "Show me on the leaderboard" off in Settings at any time.
- You can delete your account in Settings → Account. That deletes your nickname too.
